DAW Integration — Reaper & Ableton Live
Premium Sounddesign für Indie-Entwickler
Works Inside Your DAW
SoundScape ships as a native VST3/AU plugin and a standalone browser — both fully compatible with Reaper 7.x+ and Ableton Live 11/12. Drop sounds directly onto tracks, no file-system detours required.
Reaper
Install the SoundScape Reaper Bridge (v2.4.1) via Options → Preferences → Plug-ins → Scan for new plug-ins. The browser opens as a floating window or docked FX panel. Drag any preview straight onto a media item; Reaper auto-creates the correct audio item, sample rate, and channel count.
Ableton Live
Load SoundScape as a Device in the Chain Flipper or Browser panel. The Live Bridge (v2.4.1) maps every library entry to a draggable clip preview. Drop onto the Arrangement or Session view and Live handles warping, sample mapping, and device insertion automatically.
Setup Guide Preview
From download to first drag-and-drop in under five minutes. Here is what the process looks like.
- Download the bridge package for your OS (macOS .zip / Windows .zip / Linux .tar.gz) from your library dashboard.
- Place
SoundScape_Bridge.vst3into/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3(macOS) orC:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3(Windows). - Rescan your DAW's plug-in database — Reaper: Rescan button; Ableton: Options → Rescan Installed Devices.
- Open SoundScape from the FX browser. Your licensed libraries appear instantly — no activation server required.
- Drag any sound onto a track. The preview file (up to 30 s) drops as a temporary item; click Resolve to pull the full-resolution source.
Full documentation — including latency compensation settings, custom hotkey mapping, and batch-export workflows — lives in the SoundScape Integration Manual (PDF, 2.1 MB) linked from your account.
Benefits of Native Integration
Stop juggling file managers, sample folders, and import dialogs. SoundScape meets you where you already work.
One-Click Drag & Drop
Preview → drag → drop. The bridge resolves the full-resolution WAV/OGG source automatically, placing it on the correct track with matching sample rate and bit depth. Average time saved: 42 seconds per sound.
Zero-Config Latency Handling
The plugin reports its buffer size to Reaper and Ableton's audio engine. No manual latency compensation needed — preview playback stays phase-aligned with your project tempo at 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, or 96 kHz.
Smart Tag Sync
Tags applied inside SoundScape (e.g., impact-metallic-short) sync to Reaper's media-item notes and Ableton's clip metadata. Search across your entire project using the same vocabulary you used in the library.
Batch Resolve & Export
Select multiple preview items, click Resolve All, and the bridge pulls the full-resolution files into a dedicated project subfolder. Export to WAV, AIFF, or OGG with a single dialog — no per-file round-trips.
